I stick to clean burning ammo and save the cruddy stuff for other rifles. One of the best designs ever made and unless it was made in the latter years of Remington a well made rifle. · Check the notches in the sear to hammer contact for wear. Best fix is to replace both. 7. Keep an eye on the extractor for wear or sticking keep it clean.
